Blockader is a 2D roguelite arena shooter where your character automatically attacks nearby enemies. Move around the ring, dodge incoming attacks, and clear each wave without losing all your lives. As the waves get harder, upgrade cards, gear, and new characters give you more ways to handle the growing enemy crowds.

Keep Moving Around The Arena

You never need to aim in Blockader. The weapon automatically targets nearby enemies, so your attention stays on movement. Walking into an enemy hurts just as much as getting caught by a sniper round, so leaving yourself an escape route is often more important than clearing one target immediately.

Later waves change the pace. Groups appear closer together, and the sniper gives you less time to slow down. Instead of running in circles, you have to adjust your path as the arena fills up.

Pick One Upgrade At A Time

When a wave ends, the game pauses for a choice. You receive an upgrade card before the next fight begins, giving you time to think instead of rushing into another battle.

Some upgrades increase damage, others improve defense, and some add special effects that change how your attacks behave. With more than 100 cards across four rarities, two runs rarely develop in exactly the same way.

Spend Stars Between Runs

The stars collected during combat stay useful after the match ends. You can trade them for equipment that changes future attempts, whether you want stronger attacks, better protection, or extra utility.

The skill tree also grows over time, letting you unlock new options instead of starting every session with the same setup.

Try Another Character

Lucky is the only character available at first, but five more fighters unlock later: Byte, Spark, Orbit, Sludge, and Spike. Each one changes the feel of a run enough to encourage a different approach.

What Keeps The Game Interesting

The arena never changes shape, yet every wave feels different because enemy pressure keeps shifting. A route that was safe a few seconds earlier can suddenly beco
