- Catdoku

Catdoku turns a logic grid into a puzzle about finding a safe spot for every cat. Each board gives you a colored grid and a limited number of cats to place. The catch is that one wrong move can cost a fish, so guessing is rarely worth it. Mark impossible cells, narrow down the choices, and let the board give you the answer.
A finished board must follow several rules at once. Cats cannot share a row or column, and each colored section can contain only one cat. They also need space around them, so two cats cannot touch horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
On a 6×6 grid, for example, six cats are placed in total. That means every row and column ends up with one cat, while the color rule and no-touch rule still have to work.
You do not need to place a cat every time you spot a possible location. An X mark can remove a cell from consideration. Mark a square when another cat already occupies its row, column, or color group, or when placing a cat there would make two cats touch.
As the number of marked cells increases, some positions become much easier to spot. A square may be the only remaining option for a row, a column, or a color.
Catdoku rewards checking several rules together. A cell that looks fine on its own may become impossible because of a cat somewhere nearby. Before placing one, scan its row, column, color area, and surrounding eight cells.
Wrong placements can cost a fish, so random clicking can quickly make a puzzle harder. If the board becomes unclear, use X marks to narrow the options instead of forcing a move. Hints are also available when you get stuck.
The puzzles gradually become more involved, while the clean visuals and cat animations keep the presentation simple.
