Boxes are everywhere in Unbox the Room, and your job is to figure out what belongs where. Open them, pull out the contents, and start putting the room back together. A shirt, a book, a cup, or a small decoration may look simple to place, but the available space can make you think twice.

Open a Box and See What You Got

Sort Through the Belongings

Click a box to open it and take a look at what's inside. The contents can range from clothes and shoes to books, toys, kitchen items, toiletries, electronics, and decorations. Furniture and other household objects can turn up as well.

It helps to look around before placing anything. You might spot an empty drawer that is clearly meant for clothes, or a shelf with enough room for a few books. Kitchenware usually has its own area, while bathroom items are easier to identify once you check the room.

Don't Waste the Available Space

Some objects are easy to deal with. Others aren't. A drawer can fill up quickly, and a shelf may have space for a small item but not a larger one. If something doesn't fit where you first tried it, pick it up and look elsewhere.

You can also rearrange things that have already been placed. Moving one object may free enough room for another, so there is no reason to leave an awkward arrangement just because it was the first solution you found.

Finish the Room

Some rooms are easy to sort out, while others leave very little free space. Check the shelves, drawers, cabinets, and tables before moving things around. One misplaced item can make the rest harder to fit.

The belongings also give small clues about the person who lives there. Clothes, books, kitchenware, and decorations make each room feel different. Once everything is in place, the boxes are gone and the room finally looks complete.

Game Controls

Use the left mouse button to open boxes and grab items. Move the mouse around the room to find a spot, then place each object where it fits.
